This project aims to move the current headquarters of the Pharmaceutical Laboratories Esteve to a new location allowing it to meet its strategic development in the medium and long term.

It is located on the grounds of Can Marcet within the municipality of Sant Cugat del Vallés in Barcelona, in an area close to the AP-7 motorway, together with other international companies in the health sector and the Parc Technologic Vallès.

The new headquarters will comprise 47,000 smq, will host the Group headquarters (11,000 m²) and an R & D area (7,500 m²) with associated support activities. The topographical features of the terrain have been taking into account when designing to achieve maximum integration within the environment and landscape.

Scope, Challenges and Accomplished Objectives

• To date the following has been done:
• Initial planning and organization.
  • Supervision and economic monitoring of works; the perimeter urbanization and connection with the 435 mil sqm plot, including a connection bridge.
  • Monitoring implementation and spatial planning according to Esteve’s departmental needs.
  • Monitoring and follow-up R & D Laboratory and Animal facilities.
  • Building Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Review and Analysis.
  • Final Design Review.
  • Costs follow-up Structure.
• At the moment the project is in Stand-by, waiting for Laboratorios Esteve’s decision to proceed.
